Title: How Math Works
Author: Carol Vorderman
Year: 1996
Publisher: Reader's Digest

This book covers one topic on every 2 pages. A topic may have 3 or more experiments you can do to help you understand that topic.

The major sections are:
Numbers
Proportions
Algebra
Statistics
Measurement
Shape
Thinking

By creating interesting projects, the authors have made math concepts more interesting and much easier to understand.

In the section on fractions, you make a musical instrument.

My favorite project in this is making a making a computer out of a box. (page 47) You got slits and use sticks. Then you teach the concepts of AND and OR (used in computer programming).
