Long description

This book did not get good reviews on Amazon, and I would generally agree with those reviewers.

This book covers three things about each language:
1. introduction, syntax
2. making games with that language
3. game engines for that language; games in that language

The first section, learning the syntax, would be better learned in a book on that language

The second section, making games with that language, is what someone would be buying this book for. But that section is short, only about 30 pages long for lua and python, which is too short.

The third section, game engines (which we might think of as software for making games in that language) is not very useful if you have not mastered the second section, on making games.

If you are already pretty good with one of these languages, you might find this book useful as a cheap way of learning about games for 3 languages in only one book.

Rating (1 to 100) 75 = very good; 50 = good; 1 = unknown
