Alice is an easy programming language produced by Carnegie Mellon. It is used to teach computer programming in colleges for students.

The drawback of Alice, compared to Scratch, is that there does not seem to be a website where you can share your programs. Much of the fun of Scratch is sharing your games and movies and having others comment on how good they are.
